Company History

In 1976, the company incorporated as Buchanan Welding & Fabrication (BWF). Several years later the company took on a contract fabricating Bat Cave Stoves. During the early 1980’s, Bat Cave Stoves was renamed Carolina Wood Stoves. In 1987 Carolina Wood Stoves was sold, at which time BWF introduced a new line of wood stoves named XTEC. During this time BWF also purchased High Valley Construction and Maintenance Corporation which allowed the company to perform turbine repair in power plants.

Today, High Valley Construction and Maintenance Corporation has become a multi-disciplined company which includes computerized orbital welding, turbine repair, and the manufacture of High Valley Stoves. Currently, the company holds an R stamp, issued by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessels, which enhances the quality of manufacturing. In short, people can rest assured that when they purchase one of High Valley’s products they are purchasing quality as well.
